New Virtual Work Experience resource from the RGS and SpringPod

 Launched today...

Geographers and their skills are in demand in many roles across many sectors, and this is only going to grow with digital and green skills jobs poised for significant growth. But many young people are not aware of the opportunities available to them, nor are their teachers or parents/carers.

Today saw the launch of a new geography virtual work experience programme to help students discover the range of careers that geography can lead to, developed by the RGS in collaboration with Springpod.

School students can explore roles and sectors where geographical skills are used – real people doing real jobs - across Hazards and risk; Shaping cities and communities; Sustainable resources; and Mapping the world with GIS.

It's free to access online, widening the reach to students who may not be able to undertake in-person work experience.
