Some new threads

Despite my long association with Twitter as a means of sharing and disseminating ideas and news for geography educators, it's clear that it has become a place where other ideas are shared, and the owner expresses views which are not consistent with someone like me.


I've now activated it on my phone again and will be sharing news and thoughts there instead of @GeoBlogs on Twitter for the foreseeable future 

Threads is not without its issues of course, being part of Meta.

It would be good to see you over there if you're so minded. There seems to have been a little 'X-odus' of educators this summer, particularly following recent events with the far right disrupting life for thousands in many city centres. 
The presence of young people at some of these events is a reminder that many of us will have work to do when we return for the new academic year. Geography lessons can play an important part in that process and there is some thinking and work to do here that the RGS should be part of...
