RSGS turned 140 yesterday! on 21st July 1884, Agnes Livingstone-Bruce & John George Bartholomew walked along the beach at North Berwick & established the Scottish Geographical Society (we became “Royal” in 1887).

I'm proud to be an Honorary Fellow of the RSGS and recipient of their Tivy Education Medal back in 2013 - the only time I've ever been linked with the late Sir. Ken Robinson.
The blog post by Jo Woolf here has some excellent quotes and images of some of the people connected with the RSGS over the years.
