Corporate Benefactors

As a previous President of the Geographical Association, I know it is important to work with appropriate companies for supporting the work of many organisations, particularly charities. Care must be taken over these relationships to avoid reputational damage.

The RGS has a number of relationships with companies. This sponsorship enables some of the activities of the Society, and benefits Fellows in several ways.

Esri UK supported the RGS's Geography Ambassador scheme promoting the value of geography to further study and careers and bringing GIS expertise to the classroom.

This is evolving into a new project called ChooseGeography. This is also the theme for this year's Young Geographer of the Year competition.

Jaguar Land Rover supported the Earth Photo exhibition which inspires people to get out into the landscape and appreciate their surroundings. They have also previously funded the Going Beyond bursary.

Ordnance Survey supported the Society's work to advance geospatial understanding among young people, policymakers and professional geographers. Rolex supported our historic Collections, helping to increase public access and conserving our holdings for future use.

This relationship was recently renewed and strengthened by extending the relationship further.

Trailfinders supported our work with the public, promoting the relevance and enjoyment of geography to foster a greater understanding of our world.

Recently, the RGS also teamed up with an organisation called Inflexion
